UNCORK THE WATERFALL

たきをふせぐコルクをめざせ!

This level starts the most difficult world in the game, Noki Bay. Noki 1 has somewhat easier movement that 2 and 6, however it is still quite difficult if trying to go fast. These levels require good knowledge of the movement, as well as execution, all with sketchy camera angles. Because of this, Noki Bay is usually the world that has the widest skill gap.

EXPLANATION

Triple Jumps

Triple Jumps do not actually have to occur after three jumps, and a mechanic you may not notice playing casually is that a triple jump happens after a spin jump every time no matter what type of spin jump. This also happens when starting a spin mid-air

Running with Slope Momentum

Although this is not shown in the example, when Mario rolls out onto a steep slope he gains lots of speed. Specifically the slope leading up to the second wheel with the goop on it. This can make that part easier for some players

Efficient Bomb Throwing

The most efficient way to throw the bombs is to spray two of them and throw them right after the mole throws the third, spray the third, and then throw it. This ensures that all the bombs can be thrown at the same time without causing the mole to cancel a throw

Where to Throw

Bombs can hit the mole from a standing position by the fence. Jumping and throwing also works but runs the risk of falling all the way down and can be tricky with direction. Bombs will only be thrown when B is pressed while running, if Mario is still when B is pressed he will just put down the bomb

Don't Fall Off

The shine spawn cutscene in this level does not pause the game. Therefore, Mario can be pushed around while the cutscene is playing, and if there is a bomb left on the platform it is possible to be pushed all the way down the cliff so watch out
