GO!GO!イカサーフィン

Blooper Surfing Safari is another somewhat competetive IL level due to its convinient in-game timer. It is also one of the easiest timesaves starting out with a practically free twenty seconds. An easy level until learning blooperless it's nothing to worry about for beginners.

EXPLANATION

---Easy Example---

Blooper Differences

There are differences in how all of the bloopers move. They are all the same speed, but have different stats on handling. The best one to use is the green one. While using it if you put the stick in neutral you won't crash when running into a wall

Race Shortcuts

In order to shortcut the race, turn right at the spikes to go over the platform, then turn left and jump the barrier to the end of the track

---Hard Example---

Cancelling the Sewer Jump

In order to cancel the high jump out of the sewer, you can hover in mid-air and reset your vertical velocity and start a waterslide

Y-Turn into the Sewer

In order to Y-Turn into the sewer, press Y in mid-air and when low enogh press R to start hovering and to cancel Y-cam. If you miss and fall into the water, it is possible to jump out of the water and hover over the goop into the loading zone

BLOOPERLESS

Blooperless

The blooper race uses checkpoints along the track to determine if Mario is actually completeing the race. However, when going through these checkpoints, there is no check to see if Mario is on a blooper. Therefore it is possible to complete the race without one and simply go into the area of all three checkpoints and cross the finish line. Below is a slideshow of images exhibiting exactly where these checkpoints are. As long as you are inside the blue/red box the checkpoint will trigger.
