SCRUBBING SIRENA BEACH
シレナビーチでおおそうじ!
Scrubbing Sirena Beach is another level with an in game timer making it very easy to track progression. However it is most known for its regional differences. Sirena 6 is the biggest time difference in different regions with NTSC-U players having it much easier, and wasting a lot of time in NTSC-J.
EXAMPLE
Efficient Spraying
Although it is ultimately up to you how to clean the beach, it is easier, especially on NTSC-J, to do as the videos do as it is much more damaging to have to look for goop you missed than to assume you got everything on the first try
Region Differences
Region differences are patches or changes to the game between releases in different regions. After the game was first released in Japan, Sirena 6 was made much easier for later releases in Europe and North America. The Japanese version forces the player to clean 99% of the goop on the beach, while this number is much less worldwide
Invisible Goop
In SMS, spots of goop have to be a certain size in order to show up on screen. However, even if they are too small the goop will still count towards the overall percentage of beach cleaned. Although very small, enough of these invisible spots can be enough to not win the game. This is another reason to make sure you clean everything and this occurs in all regions of the game. A good way to see these spots is to look for the electricity that comes out of the goop in seemingly clean places
