MECHA-BOWSER APPEARS!
メカクッパ とうじょう
Until I learned the setup for this level, it was the most annoying thing to reset on. From looking through other tutorials I couldn't find it anywhere, so I'm hoping this will be a valuable resource for beginners. There's also some very useful information in the 'explanation' section about tap inaccuracy that I wish I knew when I started.
EXAMPLES
Very Difficult - Fastest
Easy - Moderately Fast
This strat is a bit easier much easier than the one on the right, and I would recommend learning it right off the bat. It can be a bit difficult to learn but is very worth it to not have an inconsistent Pinna 1. This strat revolves around getting a good angle at the beginning of the rollercoaster that will line you up to hit mecha bowser without having to move.
The Visual Cue
Below this text is the visual cue for this strat. When at the beginning of the rollercoaster, have Mario's ear positioned where it is in the picture, not quite on the right edge of the rollercoaster car's wing. The angle pictured below is relatively lenient and a bit more to the left than that would work as well. After properly orienting Mario, go into Y cam for a better view of the track.
When to shoot the rockets
The angle in the beginning lines you up for two rocket shots, the others will have to be done manually but they're not nearly as hard. For the first rocket, wait until you get to the pink support pole on the side of the first loop and fire as the car goes over it. For the second rocket, fire at the lowest point of the second loop. This rocket is much more likely to miss with a bad angle so use it to calibrate where exactly you want Mario to be facing. Both cues to fire are shown below.

GENERAL STAGE INFORMATION
Entering the Park
For the waterslide to enter the park, go a bit left of the rounded wall, and just before it lean Up-Right. If done right you won't bonk on the wall or on the noki by the gate.
Skipping the Cutscene
Waterslide to the brown noki and pause right after you cross the line of lighter tiles between the two poles (If going by the example). Once paused in the coorrect place, select exit area.
Optimal Talking
This is a very minor 'strat' but I thought I would mention it here as this is one of the longest textbox in the game. The most optimal way to scroll text is to hold A as the text appears in order to keep it scrolling as fast as possible and spam B to skip to the next textbox. Very minor but saves a free couple seconds.
Tap Innacuracy
When shooting rockets in Pinna you may experience what I call tap innacuracy. When tapping the trigger quickly the rocket sometimes veers of higher than what you're aiming at. To avoid this press the trigger partially and when you want to shoot press it all the way down.
Collecting Rockets with Water
Exactly like it sounds, rockets can be collected when hit with water. This is useful to get rockets that you passed already or are yet to pass.
Cutscene Skip
Arguably the most important trick in the game since it skips two and a half minutes of cutscenes, Pinna Cutscene Skip is very easy. When shooting the last rocket at Bowser look at the parts that fall off of him when he dies. As soon as you see those parts explode, pause and exit area.
This strat is the fastest Pinna 1 strat and is much harder than the left one. It's known as the Japanese style Pinna 1 as the way of doing the final rocket grab in this video is usually used by Japanese players. There is another way of grabbing the rocket but it's equally as difficult so I'll just explain this one for brevity. For reference as to when to learn this strat, it took about an hour or two of practicing to get consistent at a 1:24 Any% PB. This strat relys on a starting angle only on the first rocket and the later ones have to be figured out on the fly,
The Starting Angle
For the starting angle, make sure Mario is facing toward where mecha Bowser's fire intersects with the rollercoaster track. Similarly to the easier strat, go into Y cam for an easier view of when to shoot the rocket.
Shooting the First Rocket and Picking up the Second
The first rocket is the most difficult to aim out of all of them, so it may take a while to master. Shoot too early and you'll hit the green boat supports, too late and the rocket will miss high. Fire the first rocket just a bit after passing the rocket on the track. When firing keep R held down turn towards the track rocket and press A. This will reuse the R press to fire the rocket in a spam spray. It is recommended to do two spam sprays to pick up the track rocket, any more and there is a chance it could inadvertently fire. However this is determined on how fast you can spam spray so it's good to experiment.
Shooting the Second Rocket
The second rocket should be shot before going up the first loop as to have the easiest shot. Remember not to shoot it too early as mecha Bowser will not take damage while in his hit animation.
The Third Rocket
The third rocket can be shot as soon as it is picked up however the shot must be lined up manually. It is recommended to line up the shot as you are going up the loop in order to get off the third rocket as fast as possible. Shooting the third rocket faster gives you more time to angle yourself to pick up the fourth.
The Fourth Rocket
In order to pick up the fourth rocket, start a spray and angle the camera all the way down. In this state, attempt to line up the two wings of the rollercoaster car so they are parallel to the bottom of the screen. There can be some leniency here as seen in the video above. Try to line up as fast as possible to ensure the fourth rocket is hit. However only go at a speed in which you know you can be accurate. Once you have the fourth rocket it is relatively easy to hit mecha Bowser manually and if any rockets are missed, the left strat can be used as a backup.
